Great Debut on tSr’s Spirit Radio Audience Ratings
Linden, VA (Dec 31, 2007) The Crosstones, a surprising popular contemporary Christian rock band, have been very popular on tSr’s Spirit radio during the last half of 2007. Two of the group’s original songs, “Hallowed Be Thy Name” and “I Believe” reached number one status as the most requested songs of the week for the third quarter of 2007. Since August all five of the songs on the group’s debut CD “This Is Only A Test” have received over 600 plays.
Why is the group growing in popularity? “We are a diverse group of musicians that have been called together by God,” notes the Rev. Mark DeAngelis, the group’s drummer. An ordained minister and Pastor of Forest Grove Baptist Church in Amissville, VA, DeAngelis said, “Our original compositions combine the love of Jesus using messages that appeal to people of all ages.”
Performing in the mid-Atlantic region, The Crosstones are attracting a growing fan base. “I believe we’re setting a new tone for contemporary Christian music,” DeAngelis noted. “Judging by the strong reaction to our new CD, ‘This Is Only A Test,’ our message is connecting with a lot of people.”
Mark Rogers, The Crosstones leader and composer of the majority of the group’s original compositions, notes, “I for one, found the Lord a little later in life than most people, after having been down a really rough road. One of my goals is to bring the group’s strong faith forward by writing songs with a profound kick, thereby lifting the soul and spirits of people who hunger for lyrics about the love of Jesus Christ. The Crosstones overall message is of a oneness with Christ. The Lord is utmost in our hearts and nearly everything we do,” he added.
